Aftercare Instructions for Liv Esthetics Services

Post Procedure Instructions—

  • Neurotoxin

    No exercise, saunas, tanning, facials, lasers, or microneedling for 48 hours post-injection. If a dose adjustment is needed, you must wait 14 days from original injection date. You may take Tylenol or Ibuprofen to treat a headache.

  • Dermal Filler

    Lip filler- no straws, vaping, or kissing for one week. Please do not massage unless directed by provider. Bruising and swelling may last up to two weeks. Abnormal pain or swelling, grey/white discoloration, or any other concerns must be reported to your provider immediately. If additional filler is needed or desired in the same area, please wait 2-4 weeks from original injection date.

  • Filler Dissolver

    Warm compresses and gentle massage to area is recommended for 48 hours post dissolver. Hylenex will continue to dissolve filler for up to 7 days. Bruising may occur. Follow up in 14 days if additional dissolver is needed.

  • Biostimulators

    Sculptra and Radiesse- massage for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days. Bruising and swelling may last up to two weeks. Abnormal pain or swelling, grey/white discoloration, or any other concerns must be reported to your provider immediately. Treatments intervals are 6-8 weeks apart.

  • PRF Facial Injection

    No exercise for 48 hours post-injection. No ice, anti-inflammatories, tanning, facials or massage for two weeks. Bruising and swelling may last up to two weeks. Micro needling: leave product on your skin until the following day. Treatment intervals are 4-8 weeks apart.

  • PRF Hair Restoration

    Avoid submerging in water for 48 hours. For 6 hours post treatment avoid hair products. We recommend PH balanced shampoo, oral Nutrafol and topical Rogaine use during treatment. Treatment intervals are every 6 weeks. Optimal results seen after 3 treatments.

  • PDO Threads

    No heat, tanning beds, or direct sunlight. No submerging underwater for two weeks. No facial massage or radio frequency for 6 weeks. Bruising and swelling may last up to 2 weeks. Skin bunching at the insertion site can happen- it will resolve on its own. Gently wash your face in an upward motion to prevent threads from falling. Do not manipulate or pull the skin while it is healing. Threads can take up to 4 weeks to settle and integrate into your tissue.

  • Fat Dissolver

    No exercise for 48 hours post-injection. Ice as needed Bruising and swelling may last up to two weeks, with the majority of swelling lasting one week post injection. Numbness can occur, but sensation will return in a few weeks. Treatments intervals are 6-8 weeks apart.

  • Liquid BBL

    Avoid sitting directly on the treated area for 72 hours. Avoid strenuous activities and exercise for 48 hours. Do not submerge in water for 72 hours. Consider using ice packs wrapped in a cloth to alleviate swelling or discomfort. Remember peak result is seen in 6-9 months post treatment.

  • Chemical Peel

    Follow instructions on VI pamphlet. May exfoliate on day 7. Gradually resume normal skincare after day 7. Hold retinol for 14 days. Apply SPF every 2 hours while outside. Do not pick peeling skin. If dry, red patches occur apply Aquaphor until healed. Results may not be immediate, and it can take time to fully heal and reveal the benefits of the treatment. Next treatment is recommended in 4-6 weeks if completing a series.

  • BBL | Moxi | IPL

    No exercise for 48 hours. Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF 50 every 2 hours when outside. Cool compresses post treatment will help with swelling and redness. Cleanse face with gentle cleanser using cool water. Avoid Retinols or skin products containing irritants for 7 days.. Keep treated area hydrated with moisturize or aquaphor. You may wear makeup following procedure. If stripping happens notify our office for correction. It is recommend for treatment series to be completed every 4 weeks for optimal results.

  • BBL Forever Clear - Acne Laser

    Avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours. Use gentle cleanser and rinse with cool water. Mild redness is common. Peeling is not expected as this treatments purpose is to reduce bacteria on the skin for acne management. Apply cool compresses as needed. Avoid direct sun exposure and apply SPF 50 when outside. You may resume wearing make up the following day.

  • BBL Skintyte

    Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. Avoid harsh skincare products like exfoliants or retinoids for at least a week, and keep the skin hydrated with a gentle moisturizer. If any redness or swelling occurs, use cool compresses to reduce discomfort. Refrain from picking at the skin, even if it flakes or peels. Makeup should be avoided for at least 24 hours or until the skin calms down.

  • Virtue RF Microneedling

    No exercise for 48 hours post-treatment. Avoid touching treatment area for 12-24 hours to reduce infection risk. Cool compresses are helpful with skin tightness and swelling. Monitor for infection and notify our office if this develops. Avoid direct sun exposure & wear SPF 50 when outside. You may wear make-up 24 hours after treatment. Series of 3 treatment sessions recommended every 4 weeks for optimal results.

  • CO2 Laser - CoolPeel

    Sun burn sensation will last 1-2 hours. No ice, the inflammatory process is needed for best result. Use a fan post-treatment to cool the area. Exosomes should be left on the treated area for 8 hours. Cleanse with cool water and a gentle cleanser, then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor. Reapply as needed for 24 hours. After 24 hours, makeup and sunscreen can be used. Redness and swelling will last 1-3 days, depending on aggressiveness of treatment. Sand paper texture may last up to one week on the face, two weeks for other areas of the body. Do not exfoliate during the first week. For itching, Benadryl 25-50mg at night. Stay hydrated and moisturized! Retinols may be reintroduced one week after laser. Treatments intervals are 4 weeks apart.

  • CO2 Laser- DEKA

    Sun burn sensation will last 1-2 hours. No ice, the inflammatory process is needed for best result. Use a fan post-treatment to cool the area. Exosomes should be left on the treated area for 8 hours. Cleanse with cool water and a gentle cleanser, then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor. Reapply as needed for 3-5 days. If bleeding or oozing occurs, pat with a clean cloth then reapply a thin layer of Aquaphor. After 48 hours, makeup and sunscreen can be used. Redness and swelling can last 7 days, depending on aggressiveness of the treatment. Sand paper texture may last up to one week on the face. Do not exfoliate or dermaplane during the first week. For itching or irritation, Benadryl 25-50mg at night and/or a thin layer of hydrocortisone cream. Stay hydrated and moisturized! Retinols may be reintroduced one week after laser. Treatments intervals are 4-6 weeks apart, or as directed by your provider.

  • Vascular Laser

    Avoid strenuous activity for 48 hours. Expect area of treatment if a vascular lesion to turn darker in color post treatment and this will slowly begin to lighten. If single pigment laser expect area treated to darken with a grey surrounding hue. SPF 50 during all times outdoors over treatment area. Recommend 3-6 sessions pending treatment area every 4 weeks.

  • Tattoo Removal Laser

    Following treatment it is important to keep the area clean and dry. Apply cold compresses as needed. You may take Motrin or Ibuprofen for discomfort. Vaseline or Aquaphor applied twice daily for 3 days post treatment. Avoid occlusive bandages. Blistering (don’t pop) and scabbing may happen. Notify our office if signs of infection develop. Avoid working out for 48-72 hours. Avoid direct sun exposure. SPF every 2 areas to area being treated if direct outside sun exposure is unavoidable. Repeat treatment recommended in 6-8 weeks.

  • Laser Hair Removal

    Redness will last 2-4 hours post-treatment. Avoid friction to treated area for 24 hours. Hair will continue to grow for approximately one week, then a reduction in hair will begin. Due to hair growth cycles, multiple treatments are needed. SPF 50 at all times when treatment area is exposures to reduce risk of hypopigmentation during laser treatment. Treatments intervals are 6 weeks apart.
